Balesin Island transitioned from relying solely on diesel generator sets to a cleaner hybrid energy system combining solar power and battery storage. Completed over 18 months, the project spans about 2.85 hectares and features 5,856 monocrystalline solar panels with a capacity of 4.128 MWp paired with a 5.504 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). The system generates approximately 16 MWh daily, 475 MWh monthly, and 5,700 MWh annually, enabling the island to save around 60% of its fuel consumption while ensuring cleaner, more reliable power.
